Welcome

Eames Way Elementary School PTO welcomes you to our web page!  The PTO is an all volunteer organization comprised of the Eames Way School faculty and all parents/guardians of EWS interested in helping our children optimize their educational experience at Eames Way.  All parents of students, and all teachers and administrators at EWS are automatically members of the PTO.

The purpose of the EWS PTO is to:

1. Foster social, cultural and educational enrichment;

2.  Involve family, school and community in the educational experience;

3.  Organize fundraisers to purchase educational materials for students, to pay for enrichment programs, contribute to the expense of student field trips, beautification of the school and staff appreciation.

Last year we distributed over $25,000 for enrichment programs, field trips, educational tools & supplies, school beautification and awards.  And we have another fantastic year planned for the 2009-10 school year!  Funding for important educational programs and tools will be raised through grant writing activities and several planned fundraisers.  Please see the list of activities and fundraisers listed below on the site.

We are excited to kick-off the new year with our “BOOST” fundraising program!!  For more information see the PTO Welcome Letter which includes BOOST information, exciting Raffles, and a family information sheet to be used for publishing our school directory.

Please join us for the monthly PTO meetings where parents and faculty share and develop ideas for the Eames Way community and our children. Without the continued support of PTO volunteers and your generous contributions, many of these activities would not be possible.

DISTRICT INFORMATION / SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETINGS

The March scheduled School Committee Meetings are Tuesday, 3/9 and 3/23 at FBMS at 7pm.   Check the district home page for agenda. Parents are encouraged to attend, get involved and stay informed!

"BOOST" Fundraising Program -

march 2010 update: Click for PTO boost update letter  - Thank You EWS Families!

Our BOOST (Bringing Outstanding Opportunities to our Students and Teachers) Fundraiser directly supports our children's education by funding valuable enrichment programs and field trips for each and every Eames Way student, as well as purchase highly needed educational tools for the classrooms!

In September 2008 we introduced this program.  The PTO requested a tax deductible donation  from each EWS family. 100% of the funds raised go directly to programming.  We are delighted to report that the BOOST program raised over $13,000 last year and this year by our dedicated families!  To raise this level of funds during the current economy is truly remarkable and shows the care and support to education by all our families.  The PTO thanks you for your generosity!

Click on the following link to learn more about the BOOST program  BOOST LETTER   See the breakdown of our approved budget by clicking on BOOST BUDGET - see how hard your BOOST dollars are working for our school!

We also encourage (and need!!) your involvement and support throughout the school year. A VOLUNTEER SHEET can be downloaded (click link), completed and returned to school with your child to let us know how you would like to help.
