Covid-19 Update 3.17.20
Good morning and Happy St. Patrick’s Day.
As noted previously, our staff members have been sharing a variety of online educational links that students from all grades can use on a voluntary basis while we are out of school. It’s been great to see so many students already engaging in these activities.
Over the past few days, these links have been organized into one online compendium called the “MPSD Community of Learning”. This resource will be available to students, families and staff. The learning activities are intended to reinforce concepts and skills that have already been taught; therefore, students should be able to complete the voluntary activities fairly independently. Per state guidelines, completion of the suggestions and resources is not mandated and any independent work completed by students during the school closure will not be formally assessed.
If a student needs access to a Chromebook (or their assigned IPad) to complete the voluntary activities, they should contact their building principal. We will have a plan in place to accommodate these requests.
Here is the link to our MPSD Community of Learning. This link will continue to be updated on a weekly basis throughout the school closure.
For those families that need to pick up their child’s medication, you can do so on Wednesday or Thursday of this week between 9:00-11:00 AM. You will not be able to enter the buildings but distribution will take place in front of the main entrances. If you have any questions, please contact (email/phone) your school nurse or building principal.
Thank you so much for your continued cooperation and have a great day.
