Snow Recess Guidelines 

           Winter 2022 

During snow season the Staff would like to allow students that are dressed for snow to have a “snow recess” when it is deemed safe.  This will be done on (M-T-TH-F ).  If you would allow your child to participate please note that ALL of the following will need to be followed:

          

STUDENTS

If I participate in Snow Recess I will:

 

  • Follow the directions given by the Staff on duty.

  • Wear my boots, mittens, hat and snow pants so I can play in the snow.  

  • Make sure snow stays on the ground unless I am making a snowman, not snowballs.

  • Make sure I do not slide on any icy spots. 

  • Make sure I do not climb any snow-mountains made by plows.

  • Stay off of the structures, swings, and toy train as they are closed on snow recess days.

 

PARENTS:

Students will not participate in snow recess for the remainder of recess if s/he does not follow the outline above.

If any student is spoken to a 2nd time, a note will be sent home explaining why the student could not participate in the next “snow recess”.
