Social emotional learning (SEL) is a priority in our district's health curriculum. 💚 Our district-wide elementary health teacher, Mrs. Madden, visited 4th grade students at Eames Way Elementary this week. They played a fun game which helped students learn and practice ways to cope with stress and anxiety. (Sign us up, please!)
Gianna is an assistance dog who joins Mrs. Madden in her work. She was trained to work with children by an organization in western Massachusetts called NEADS. 🐶
Not only does SEL support our students while they are within the walls of our schools, but our students are learning valuable tools they can take with them out into the world! 🌎 #WeRMarshfield

Last week, the Marshfield community awarded over $286,000 in scholarships for Marshfield High School students. We are in awe of the generosity shown to our newest graduates who are preparing to venture out into the world! 🤩💚🌎 #WeRMarshfield

#WeRMarshfield recognizes and celebrates neurodiversity! 🧠💭 Earlier this week, Eames Way Elementary School held their first Neurodiversity Fair for Grades K, 1, 3 and 4. Here were just a few highlights from the event:
⭐️ Regina DiMascio and Erika Joyal, Special Education Teachers, helped with a Learning Profile Station for students to identify their unique learning style.
⭐️ Reading Teacher Mrs. Spaulding talked about how dyslexic learners process and learn differently.
⭐️ Mrs. Spaulding and two students shared personal experiences with their own dyslexic brains, celebrating and teaching others about the ins and outs of their unique brain wiring. All three have worked hard to become avid readers! 📚

Local veterans were invited to attend a Memorial Day event hosted by Governor Winslow Elementary 3rd grade students. It was a wonderful way to come together to honor those who have sacrificed in defense of our country. 🇺🇸💙❤️ #WeRMarshfield

If you've been in the halls of Eames Way Elementary lately, it's possible you've happened upon these beautiful art displays! 🎨🤩 We'd like to take a moment to recognize and celebrate Mrs. Hahn for her hard work and dedication as an art teacher. She recently spent countless hours hanging up her students' artwork, and it looks simply fabulous! 💚 #WeRMarshfield

This year, we partnered with Girls On the Run to bring this amazing program to Daniel Webster Elementary School. A group of girls in grades 3-5 have been meeting after school twice a week with some dedicated parents to build on their confidence and skills outside of the classroom.
The girls have just finished their practice 5K and are preparing for their big 5K race! We're rooting for you, runners! 🏃♀️💚🙌 #WeRMarshfield
