β€œIf I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way.” 🫢 -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. At Martinson Elementary School, Ms. Nichol's Kindergarten students learned about one of the most powerful peace builders our history has known. Let’s remember his words today (his birthday!) and carry them with us in the days ahead. πŸ’šπŸ˜Œ #WeRMarshfield

Fourth graders in Mrs. Backlund’s class have set a goal this year to bring more kindness and joy into our community. 🫢 BTru means β€œBe Altruistic.” Altruism is the act of doing something for someone without expecting anything in return. We recognized people in our lives for their wisdom, strength, stability, patience, and time by writing letters and decorating BTru Rock as a symbolic gift. We presented the rocks to these people last Friday to thank them for being a β€œrock” in our community. πŸͺ¨πŸ€—πŸ’š #WeRMarshfield

At South River Elementary School, Miss Pollard's 1st grade class passed 500 math i-Ready lessons and the students voted to celebrate by having an afternoon of dramatic play. πŸ€— They had a post office πŸ“¬, a restaurant 🍽, a vet 🐢, and an ice cream store🍦. Lots of creativity was needed to write letters, explain the animals' ailments, record customers' orders, write and create a menu, pay the correct amount, deliver the mail, and so on. #WeRMarshfield
