This year, we partnered with Girls On the Run to bring this amazing program to Daniel Webster Elementary School. A group of girls in grades 3-5 have been meeting after school twice a week with some dedicated parents to build on their confidence and skills outside of the classroom.
The girls have just finished their practice 5K and are preparing for their big 5K race! We're rooting for you, runners! 🏃♀️💚🙌 #WeRMarshfield

Marble mazes check all the boxes:

Governor Winslow Elementary students grades K-2 had a blast with this activity! 😁🙌 #WeRMarshfield

History came alive this week for Martinson Elementary's 2nd graders! Students had the wonderful opportunity to attend a field trip to Harvard Natural History Museum. 🦕🤩 #WeRMarshfield

The South River Elementary School recess Running Club recently began and students have already collectively run 474.3 miles! 🏃♀️🏃 Many students completed a 5k last week, three students ran a half marathon, and one ultra-ambitious student ran the length of a marathon! (Say what!? 🙌) Keep running and earning those toe tokens, #WeRMarshfield athletes! 🤩💚

Last week, the PTO at Furnace Brook Middle School hosted a fantastic Teacher Appreciation breakfast for our staff. Yum! 😋🍓🥣 Big thank you to the PTO, families for the many donations, parent volunteers, and especially parent Allison McGrath for organizing the breakfast.
That's a wrap on 2023 Teacher Appreciation week! All of us in the #WeRMarshfield community hope ALL our teachers across the district felt our sincere gratitude this week--and always. 💚

Kudos to these Martinson Elementary School superstars who spoke to the School Committee about their school's "Lunch Around the World" program. 🌏🍽😋 Over the past few months, students have learned from parent presenters about: Inner Mongolia, Greece, Lebanon, Brazil, Vietnam, and Pakistan. #WeRMarshfield

Bilingual superpowers UNLOCKED! 🦸♀️🗝🦸♂️
These amazing Elementary English Language Learners from Martinson Elementary School passed the World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA) ACCESS Language testing. They will no longer receive language support services, as they have *officially* graduated from the language program! These students are now considered fluent in English, as well as their native language. Wow! 👏🌍💚 #WeRMarshfield

Marshfield High School junior Soomin Jeong, pictured here with Principal Keuther, will be representing Marshfield at the annual American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Girls State Conference at Stonehill College in June. 👏💚
Soomin, along with peers from around the state, will spend the week learning about responsible citizenship, government, and leadership. Congratulations and best wishes on this unique and exciting experience, Soomin! 🤩🌎🤝 #WeRMarshfield

Local Marshfield Hills Postmasters Lisa and Al kindly donated a box of felt for students at Eames Way Elementary School to use for sewing! 🧵🪡 These pillows were made by students using their generous donation. Sew far, sew good! 🤩#WeRMarshfield

Last week, Furnace Brook Middle School 8th grade students from the Navigators cluster completed their community service learning project at Rexhame Beach. Here's what they were able to complete:
✔️ They put in 1,000 feet of new fencing.
✔️They collected 15 bags of trash.
✔️They unloaded three truckloads of brush into the dunes.
Well done, students! What an amazing and productive day. 🙌 #WeRMarshfield

"One heart, many hands." 💚🤝 What can we say? The We Are Marshfield Project did it again! #WAMP was last Friday, and our seniors had an amazingly productive day in our community, helping many people and places in many different capacities. These select pictures highlight just *some* of our wonderful students in action! 📸
We couldn't have pulled this off without the tremendous support and planning by Mrs. Pozerski and Mrs. Kurmin. Gold stars for you! 🌟🌟 #WeRMarshfield

This lucky 3rd grader from Martinson Elementary School cashed in on the "Superintendent for the Day" experience her mom won at the Marshfield Community Christmas auction earlier this year!
Her jam-packed day included a ride from Marshfield Police Department to visit our main office, as well as various schools in our community. She even got a sneak peek at our We Are Marshfield Project t-shirts!* 👀💚 #WeRMarshfield

We also want to thank Marshfield ATM for supporting our FY24 Budget request of $55,778,939. That represents a 3% increase from last year and it will help us provide for the needs of our students and staff. #WeRMarshfield
Thank you to the Marshfield ATM for supporting our efforts to join South Shore Regional Vocational Technical HS. We still await votes from the member districts' ATM's, but last night's vote was a huge step in support of our efforts. #WeRMarshfield
In addition to WAMP on Friday, we will also start the school day on Friday by joining with members of the Marshfield Police & Fire Departments to welcome students with "High Five Friday". A wonderful MPSD tradition.

So excited for this year's We Are Marshfield Project (WAMP), taking place this Friday, April 28th. 225 MHS seniors, working with 85 adult volunteers at 33 sites around town. A great display of volunteerism and civic pride. TY Joanie Pozerski & Mare Kurmin for your hard work.
